Following on from a recent enjoyable walk in the area, this is another opportunity to explore the Syndale valley, but along mostly different paths during this 11-mile route starting from Doddington. The area runs through the Mid-Kent Downs within an area of outstanding natural beauty, where the chalk beneath your feet makes for dry valleys.
Heading anti-clockwise we proceed in a southerly direction along open countryside and through woodland, including some tracks within Oakenpole Wood, making our way to Bunker's Hill. From there we meander through to Hall's Place, before eventually arriving at Stalisfield Green, but alas we may again be too early for a pub pit stop at the Plough!
Heading through "The Valley", we pass alongside Derbies Court and then on the edge of Divan Wood, before our circuit takes us below the southern edge of Eastling, from which we then return to Doddington.
Our walk will finish in appropriate style with the obligatory post walk drink at the Chequers Inn, there will of course be a picnic lunch stop en route
