We are the Surrey and Beyond Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Otford village we will walk through the church grounds and then it’s a long steep climb up The North Downs Way to a trig point. This will be the biggest climb of the day! From here we go to Magpie Bottom, Fackenden Down Nature Reserve then onto Shoreham, passing Lullingstone Castle before stopping at Eynsford for a picnic lunch by the river.
In the afternoon we walk through pretty Kent countryside down The Darenth Valley path and back into Otford.
There is an opportunity for a drink at The Bull before heading home.
We will have a picnic lunch after 9 miles with an optional drink stop at The Plough Inn, Eynsford.
We will walk at a brisk pace. Some big hills at the start then undulating through farms, fields and country lanes.
Meet at Otford Recreation Ground car park ( FREE on Bank Holidays) High Street, Otford, Kent. TN14 5PQ The car park is opposite The Bull pub at the zebra crossing. Please allow time to park and get ready, we will start walking at 9:45. Car park has toilets
