Overview

This walk promises to be a real spring treat for nature lovers!  The route starts off (uphill) along a minor road and across (we hope) fields of orchids to Swinhope.  We then head up on to the Black Way, a track which joins Isaac's Tea Trail and takes us down to the River East Allen at Rye Close.  We cross the river here, heading through woodlands and along the riverside path back to Dirt Pot.  With luck we should see curlews and lapwings as we walk.

Follow the road down the hill for about 300/400 yards and turn right over the stone bridge across the river to the parking area.
