Overview

A walk through the Breidden Hills near Welshpool which will visit the famous Gypsy Monument atop of Moel Y Golfa before striking across country to Breidden Hill, next to the massive Criggion Quarry. Here we will see the monument to Admiral Rodney, a great naval hero before the time of Nelson. Fantastic views all around, particularly across the flood plains of the rivers Severn and Vyrnwy. The walk will return to the start via Middletown Hill. There are a number of steep ascents and descents, and a short rock scramble, which total some 2,050 ft making the walk strenuous rather than moderate.

Please book with leader by text or WhatsApp, no emails please.
