This is a lovely, fairly level walk , partly on the Calderdale Way, giving expansive views of Lancashire from the many stone outcrops.

Parking is limited and roadside, so consider using public transport or carsharing. The 596 bus leaves Hebden Bridge for Blackshaw Head at 10:30. Please contact the walk leader for further information.

As ever, Calderdale weather in the spring can be lovely but unpredictable so waterproof clothing and boots are recommended. Bring a packed lunch to enjoy in good company. 

This is sensitive moorland for early lambs and ground-nesting birds like curlews and lapwings, so dogs on a lead please.
