Overview

The Iron Age hill fort of Maiden Castle and the Hardy Monument offer beautiful views across the Dorset countryside. This ramble links the two by crossing rolling hills, dales and farmland. Part of the route follows the South Dorset Ridgeway which has many Bronze Age barrows and views of the Jurassic Coast. Some steady ascents. Map: OL15.

Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join this walk, please notify the walk leader (Helen W 07980925790) or email swrsundaywalks@gmail.com.

If you would like to car share, please let the walk leader know when you book and we will hopefully be able to facilitate this.

There will be two stops during the day for coffee and lunch (please bring a picnic)

Assistance dogs only.
