A moderate-plus walk leaving Hayfield along Elle Bank, past Higher Hays Farm to Peep O Day. Over Red Mires and Ollersett and down to Birch Vale. Over Lantern Pike and down to Matley Moor Farm. Back through Hey Wood and Little Hayfield, up past Grouse Butts and Shooting Cabin, down to Kinder Reservoir and return past campsite to Hayfield. Risk assessment: Some steep sections. Muddy through fields. Some stiles. Route may be shortened if necessary.
