Overview

Retrace the Borough's Monastic Past on this walk between Kirk Hallam and Dale Abbey.  This is a circular walk starting from Pioneer Meadows, an area of public open space comprising wildflower meadows, woodland and a fish pond.  The route continues through farm and woodland, taking in the old railway line which once linked the Stanton Ironworks with the two collieries at Dale.
