As ever, Pennine weather can be unpredictable even in summer so we recommend you are properly equipped for the forecast conditions, especially footwear as there can be uneven terrain.

Bring a packed lunch and drinks to enjoy al fresco, and consider sunscreen as open moorland offers little in the way of shade!

Dogs welcome but on a lead only as this is sensitive moorland for rare ground-nesting birds.

The walk starts and ends at The Summit pub for a well-earned drink at the end.
