Overview

A circular walk through the Sussex countryside starting from the public car park in Hurst Green just off the A21.  The walk follows the Rother Valley southwards down to Robertsbridge where it turns eastwards.  The route passes through the pretty village of Salehurst, dominated by its church, and through orchards and woodlands above the Rother before it reaches Bodiam Castle, where a picnic lunch will be taken but with time being allowed for refreshments in the pub or NT tea rooms.  After lunch we will pass through undulating farmland and woods, with long views of the Sussex countryside.
