A walk in the footsteps of Dylan Thomas with views of countryside and coast as we walk from this atmospheric seaside town.
We will start at the foreshore car park beneath Laugharne Castle. From here we’ll follow the coastal path as it takes us through farmland.
We then pass through the town and Brown’s Hotel (one of Dylan’s watering holes) and head towards St Martin’s Church.
In the churchyard we will visit Dylan’s grave with its simple wooden cross.
The walk continues alongside the River Taf to the Boat House. We then return to the start below the Castle.
N.B. In places this walk will be very muddy.
Parking is at the foreshore pay and display car park, (£3 4-hours, £5 thereafter). Alternative parking is 10 minutes’ walk away at St. Martin’s Church (£2 all day).
