Overview

A Moderate to strenuous Linear walk to Bishopstone Station led by Nigel S (Mobile No: 07793 629809) with panoramic views of Lewes, the South Downs, the Weald and the English Channel.  Some steep ups and downs. Lunch at Rodmell in the parish churchyard near ‘The Abergavenny Arms’ for drinks but bring picnic. After lunch River Ouse, Southease Station (where the walk can be shortened by returning by train, perhaps after visiting Virginia and her husband Leonard Woolf’s home in Rodmell (NT)). Then a climb back on the South Downs Way via America Farm, Poverty Bottom and Norton to Bishopstone Station. Map: E122/123, L198.
