Lez Nedder (Netherne On The Hill), Peter, Paul and White Hill

This circular walk leaves Coulsdon Common to head generally west through Happy Valley to Netherne On The Hill (Lez Nedder is the 16th C. name) and the interesting adaptation of the former Netherne Hospital. The route then circuits round to Chaldon's very attractive church of St. Peter and St. Paul prior to routing through part of the village and the 'Gateway to the Surrey Hills'. Finally the route skirts the Surrey National Golf Club and passes an important retained feature of Caterham's former St. Lawrence's Hospital before heading back to Coulsdon Common. The route mostly uses the plateau of Netherne On The Hill and Chaldon although there is a short steep wooded climb (with handrails and steps) up to Netherne On The Hill from Happy Valley.
