After passing under the Llantarnam bypass we visit the Church in Llanfrechfa before crossing numerous fields to reach Llandegveth. The return route passes the impressive Lan Sor, the associated mill, a reservoir and Ponthir.
There are lots of stiles on this walk. As none of these have dog gates/latches dogs will not be allowed on this walk.
On the previous occasion that the leader led this walk Ponthir was bypassed. Unfortunately the route used at that time has been blocked. The local council has been informed and if action is taken by the time of the walk then the church in Llanfrechfa will be visited on the return leg instead of Ponthir.
