Walkers must book in advance with the walk leader
A pleasant walk above Lochgoilhead with views across the Argyll hills. Returning past several waterfalls on the Donnich Water
Follow the shore road south to meet a path leading up to the forestry road. Head north on the forestry road to join the Cowal Way and then onto a well defined, gently rising path to the ‘climbing wall’. Continue upwards on the path to the ‘halfway’ view point from where a choice can be made to continue to the summit of the Steeple or descend to the Cowal Way. After a short ascent on the Cowal Way we will pick up the Donich Water path for our return to the start.
Note: The ascent of the Steeple will be taken at a very easy pace.
