Overview

BOOKING REQUESTED

Via town centre to the Kirklees Way and on to the Pennine Way via Blakeley Clough (first 50 yards quite steep) to reach the Swellands and Black Moss reservoirs.  On to the Standedge Trail to commence an ascent of Pule Hill (1,425 feet) with great 360 degree views before returning via Pule Edge and Tunnel End. Risk assessment: Muddy and slippery in parts, crossing of two 'A' roads and a steepish grassy descent.
