This walk explores the stunning landscape of Luddenden Dene and the moorland above. A truly varied ramble crossing moors, valleys, woodland and lanes with some steeper inclines taking us up to vantage points where the truly breathtaking scenery can be appreciated.
Bring a packed lunch to enjoy picnic-style in the fresh air. Note that no refreshment facilities will be included in the walk route.
Calderdale's weather is notoriously unpredictable so make sure you have good footwear and suitable clothing for the forecast conditions.
Public transport is available along Burnley Road to Luddendenfoot, or along Luddenden Lane on the Midgley service. There is car parking available at the walk start with an honesty box so some change would be needed.
Dog owners please note that the walk crosses sensitive moorland for lambing and ground nesting birds. Dogs are required to be kept on a short lead at this time of year.
