Overview

A leisurely walk, initially through the RSPB Newport Wetlands reserve, along the sea wall with distant views from the Wales Coast Path across the Severn estuary to the Devon coast, then returning inland back to the RSPB visitor centre by tracks, fields and minor roads.

RSPB Newport Wetlands car park (£4.00 or free to RSPB members). Park and meet near the car park exit gate. Leave the M4 at junction 24 and take the A48 signed to the docks. Turn left at the fourth roundabout (after 2.5 miles), signposted Magor A4810. Then turn right at the next roundabout, to follow the brown Wetlands reserve signs. After 1.5 miles turn right signposted Nash and Wetlands, then find the car park after 1 mile.
