Overview

The plan is to meet at East Lancs railway at Rawtenstall. Get the train to Ramsbottom and walk back via Peel Tower and Bull Hill.

Saturday, 18 May 2024
Start time:
9:45 am
Estimated finish time:
3:45 pm
Difficulty:
Moderate
Distance:
13.7km / 8.5mi
Ascent:
411.5m / 1350ft

linear

I haven't been able to price tickets as yet but 1st train leaves at 10:00. It's a steep walk up to the tower followed by a more gentle climb to the trig point at Bull Hill. This might change as it is sometimes out off bounds. Then dropping back to Irwell Vale and back along river to the start.
