Overview

Starting from the playing fields car park in Witton Park we pass Pleasington Priory before descending to fields to reach Hoghton Bottoms at the footbridge crossing of the River Darwen. After passing through Hoghton Bottoms we continue along the River Darwen eventually climbing through woodland and fields to cross to the canal above the old mill site. Return is along the canal towpath to Cherry Tree before descending back to Witton Park.
