We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We will walk through the forest to Bellever Tor to enjoy the 360 degree panoramic views. Then we head for Laughter Tor and on to the East Dart river, returning past 2 clapper bridges.
The route is exposed in places but is generally on firm paths. While there is some up and down there are no strenuous climbs or descents.
There is a pub and a visitor centre in Postbridge near the end of the walk.
Changes to the walk plan may be published in the app up to 23 April.
I am happy to lead up to 15 people on this walk so please text me on 07579790872 to book your place. This is particularly important should there be any last minute changes due to weather etc.
Car sharing is possible from Pixon Lane but the walk leader will go directly to the starting point.
Pixon Lane car park. Walk leader may not be at the meeting point.
Forestry Car park just prior to turning to Bellever village. This is a free car park. Other parking in the village of Postbridge is chargeable.
