Overview

Leisurely walk (5.5 or 3.5 miles) around Colchester based on route in Ramblers magazine, this is an interesting mix of fields and town centre including the roman wall so expect marshland, hills, steps and cobbles. We will stop for coffee/apple break at Mercury Theatre (outside seating if you prefer to bring your own) at half time.

Either catch 9.44 train from Ipswich Railway Station or meet rear of Colchester Station (exit away from town centre) at 10.02. For shorter option leave us at St Botolph's Priory or Castle Park and use pubic transport to return to start (Colchester Town Station or bus from High Street).  This is a joint walk with Stowmarket Ramblers.
