Overview

Moderate circular walk exploring the green spaces of Dagenham through Local Nature Reserves, Country Parks, a river floodplain, along the recently restored beds of the Wantz Stream and the Beam/Rom Rivers. This walk has a variety of landscapes, from acid grassland, fenland and woodland to marshland and sandy shrub land via woods and a tranquil meandering valley. Please wear boots as there is mud and some uneven grass paths.

Morning/afternoon stop for coffee/tea and toilets (café). If you would like a cream tea (tea/coffee, scone, jam and cream for £4.80) please let the leader know (07899 798298) so we can estimate numbers for the cafe. Please bring a picnic lunch (no café at lunchtime).
