Overview

A lovely walk from Ryal Fold to Darwen (Jubilee) Tower using the longer and more gradual route uphill across the moorland.

Weather-dependant, we will aim to have a coffee stop at the Tower where we should see excellent views across Lancashire.

Descending down to the picturesque village of Tockholes via Earnsdale Reservoir and part of the Witton Weavers Way, we will make our way back to Ryal Fold across farmland and quiet lanes.

Cafe, pub and toilets at start and end of walk.

Start from the car park between the Royal Arms pub and the Ramblers Country cafe, Tockholes Rd, Darwen, BB3 0PA

Park in the free public car park behind the Royal Arms pub car park.  If this one is full, there is generally parking in the other car park near the bus stop.

Dogs welcome if kept on a lead.
