Fortified by refreshment, we climb up Cow Bank and onto  Rudland Rigg for lunch.  We head south on the moorland track before taking  a path down over Harland Moor. The return to Low Mill is by paths via Mercer's Bridge, then a short road section to finish.

10miles. 370m of ascent. Although moderate, there's a steady climb onto exposed moorland for the afternoon walk.  Boots essential, poles useful . Bring warm and waterproof clothing. Wet and muddy in places.
