A circular walk starting at Sevenoaks. We will walk through Knole Park, where there are wild deer grazing, then we will walk through some woods and pass through a dormant lavender field and descend to Ightham Mote (National Trust), a 14th century manor house. This will be our lunch stop, there are some picnic tables and a cafe, where you can sit outside and buy a coffee and eat a picnic discreetly.
After lunch we will walk along a section of the Greensand Way (should be called the black mud way), some spring flowers are out, even some early bluebells and wild garlic. After climbing One Tree Hill (not a steep climb and has many trees) we will re-enter Knole Park, where we will walk back through the park passing Knole House. Leaving the park we will walk back to Sevenoaks, where there are many pubs and cafes, and then back to the station.
There are frequent trains back to Charring Cross, the train stops at London Bridge and Waterloo East.
There is mud so please wear appropriate boots.
