Overview

A gentle stroll along the Darent Valley Path from Shoreham leads past the lavender fields, and on to the Lullingstone Visitors Centre. We will then ascend on a nicely graded path through woodland before turning south and down onto the “balcony” above the Shoreham Cross, with a lovely view over the valley. A short descent will take us back to the village, and the opportunity for refreshment. The walk is quite short (4.7 miles) but has a longish but gentle ascent. We welcome all, including those who may not be regular walkers. Suitable for well-behaved dogs. See our website for further details.

This walk is along the Samuel Palmer Trail (see https://darent-valley.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Samuel-Palmer-Trail-leaflet.pdf), but starting in Shoreham car park.
