Overview

A circular bluebell walk from Shireoaks across the Chesterfield Canal to Lindrick Dale taking in 2 wood to see the flowers.

There are two stiles and to sets of steps to cross a railway. No real hills just a couple of inclines.

No livestock present on pre walk so dogs are permitted but some areas require them to be on leads.

Usual morning coffee and lunch stops so please bring provisions, If open the we will stop at the Ice cream parlor.

Shireoaks village hall car park. Allow 50mins from Collingham. Take A1133 to A57 at Newton on Trent, turn left and stay on A57 until A1 at Markham Moor. Take A1 north as far as Apleyhead. Take A57 signposted to Sheffield around Worksop until you reach a roundabout with a left turn for Thorpe Salvin/Shireoaks triangle, take this turn into Shireoaks over the level crossing and left after the Parish Church and the Village Hall is 60yd further on the left.
