Join our friendly group for this delightful ramble over a variety of of terrains from woodland to farmland, and with far-reaching views over Slaithwaite and Marsden Moors, before descending to a gentle stroll along a picturesque canal towpath back to the start.
Some short and steep inclines need a careful pace but are suitable for moderate fitness levels. Similarly some parts of the route may encounter stiles, some muddy patches and narrow, occasionally uneven steps so good footwear and perhaps walking poles to aid balance are suggested.
Bring a packed lunch and drink to enjoy in the open air. Refreshments are available in the village before and after the walk but none on the walk route itself.
Dogs MUST be kept on a lead in accordance with Kirklees Council restrictions on sensitive moorland as this is a protected area of conservation.
