Join Liam R. on an exciting coast to coast walk from Looe to Boscastle over three different Saturdays (with an option of four for some).
The Smugglers' Way is a 38 mile coast to coast walk graded moderate to strenuous: we walk from sea level to Cornwall’s highest point (Brown Willy)- across the open moor- followed by a long slow trek down to the sea at Boscastle. Created and developed by Cornishman Frank Squibb in the Spring of 1994 this is Cornwall’s most imaginative coast to coast walking route. Due to its length we have broken this hike into stages. Each stage is limited to 25 participants so booking is required. Dogs are welcome but note there is unfenced livestock on the moor.
This is Stage 1 - Looe to Dobwalls - Coach charge £15
Stage 2 - 08/06/24 Dobwalls to Jamaica Inn - Coach charge £15
Stage 3 - 13/07/24 Jamaica Inn to Boscastle - Coach charge £15 - This is a long stage and an alternative finish is outlined in the full details online for Stage 3
Book using the email bar and specify whether you want to do 1, 2, 3 or all three stages. Payment (£15 for the coach for EACH stage, 3X£15 = £45 in total) should be made directly into the club's Unity Bank account; details will be sent when you book. If you do not bank online, then cash will be accepted paid to Liam at least two weeks before the date. A waiting list of participants for this popular adventure is likely so the pre-payment is essential to secure your place. You may also use the email bar to request a summary of the leader's information for the whole Smugglers' Way route.
For stage 1 we will meet in Dobwalls. We will travel from Dobwalls to Millpool Car Park, Looe by private coach. We then walk from Looe back to our cars.
Remember snacks, drinks and a packed lunch. Sturdy footwear essential.
