Overview

Leaders: Jane Y. & Hazel P.
From the car park we will walk through the town towards the church, turn up Trough Lane, a steep hill before entering Bearacleave Woods then Shaptor Woods.   On leaving the woods, follow a path near Hawkmoor and head downhill to Slade Cross.  Here we cross A382 to follow a quiet lane and track. At Drakeford Bridge we will walk through Pulbrook Wood and Hisley Nature Reserve, cross the medieval packhorse bridge and take the path beside the river.  The rest of the walk is along quiet lanes before picking up the disused railway line back to Bovey Tracey.
