Overview

A tranquil summer walk around Hardwick Hall, an Elizabethan country house with “more glass than wall”, through woods, by ponds and through the parkland of the Hardwick Estate with some ups and downs. Toilets in café at start and at Hardwick Hall shop. Walking on former railway tracks that served the coal mines. Ample free parking. Bring a packed lunch if required.
