Meet at Basingstoke Railway Station at 9.00AM and get 9.38 train to Whitchurch, arriving at 9.51 (£3.40 with Railcard) ready to walk at 10.00AM
This a good local leg stretcher taking us along the Test visiting the various mills along its route and crossing to Harrow Way back to Overton. Short stop for coffee mid morning. Lunch stop (Bring packed lunch.)
If there is time, we may be able to have a cuppa in Overton before catching the train home.
Hopefully, June will be warmer, so please ensure you have enough water for the full walk and return journey. The ground could still be a bit muddy and wet, so poles maybe useful.
Mainly flat walking, a few slight inclines. Minimal stiles, mainly gates. There maybe some cattle in one of the fields, but they are docile.
My hope is that we will get to Overton Station in time to catch 16.20 back to Basingstoke, arriving at 16.29. (Price: £2.75 with Railcard). Hopefully, everyone will have a railcard, if not we can make groups of 3 to ensure everyone gets a discount.
