Overview

From Meadow Lane, over old gravel pits, onto the River Trent towpath via a bridge. At Cranfleet Lock, which was dug in 1797. Then, onto the Erewash Canal, which was built in 1777-1779 to carry coal. We will walk to Forbes Hole Nature Reserve, past Tappers Harker pub.
