Overview

Capital Walkers will be hosting a ramble for the London Blind Ramblers on Saturday 20th July 2024 and we are seeking volunteers to be Sighted Guides to lead a Blind Rambler. No previous experience needed. London Blind Ramblers expect 10  Blind Ramblers so if we get say 20 Sighted Guides then you will only need to lead for half the walk.

If you are willing to be a Sighted Guide for this Ramble please email – chair@capitalwalkers.org.uk by 10th July 2024 so we can register you on Assemble as a Sighted Guide and let London Blind Ramblers know.

Walk details are as follows

This walk includes some of the most rural parts of the Capital Ring, with fine hilltop views and a long reservoir stretch as well as residential streets. It is mostly level walking, on firm or tarmac paths, tracks or pavements. There is some rough ground, that may be muddy, and a few steep climbs.

The route takes in Preston Park, the 18th century landscape of Barn Hill, Fryent Country Park, St. Andrew's Churches and the Welsh Harp Open Space and Brent Reservoir.
