We are the Preston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts from the historic village of Warton known for it's connections to George Washington the first President of the USA.
Starting with a sharp climb out of the CP (not as sharp as Whalley Nab) to get immediate sea views. Continuing on to Jenny Brown's House and Point and then on to Silverdale and the Pepper Pot with more sea views. Returning via Leighton Moss and House past the public bird hide. Mixture of limestone pavement woods and coast with some road walking on quiet lanes
10 miles with some climbs the first one is steep out of the CP
Start from: Crag car park Bank Barn Crag Road Warton. Sat Nav LA5 9SD Directions: Exit M6 Junction 35 to A601M. Turn right at the roundabout to the A6. take the first left turn into Borwick Lane. Continue to the end, then left onto Main Street.
