We are the Exeter and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We walk along the southern shore of the reservoir and west through the forest to the ruined Teignhead Farm, then northwest to Watern Tor. On descending from Watern, we cross Walla Brook and turn northwest to visit remote Gartaven Ford. Heading south-east we reach Scoriton Circle, Batworthy Corner and Kes Tor. The final stretch is southwards to Thornworthy Tor, past the reservoir dam and return to the car park. Forest and moorland tracks are used, with modest ascents to Watern, Kes and Thornworthy Tors.
