Overview

This is a lovely walk that takes us across Watlington Hill, dropping down onto the Oxfordshire Plain along the Icknield Way. We climb through Greenfield Copse up to the Chiltern Escarpment before enjoying several valleys. We will return to Christmas Common and Watlington Hill via an ancient Saxon lane.

The walk is mainly on soft footpaths with several short but steep ascents and descents. There are some stunning views.

We will walk at a moderate pace but take the hills gently.
