Overview

This walk goes through Hampshire’s best village (as voted once in The Times) and you won’t argue. This is an area of prehistory, with great bronze-age barrows of Beacon Hill, visited on the way, with high views of Old Winchester Hill and the Solent. Part of the route is along the dismantled Meon Valley Railway giving a very comfortable stretch.
