Overview

Mostly flat walk following the Saxon Shore Way along the sea wall of the Swale, with big skies and views to the Isle of Sheppey. This wild and wonderful 5 mile stretch, taking in the Oare Marshes Nature Reserve, is rich in bird life. At the head of the Oare Creek we will stop mid afternoon for a drink/loo at a pub, after which we will take an inland route back to Teynham station.

Lunch: Picnic only

Loos: use loos on train - none, except bushes, till mid afternoon.
