Footpath work 

Hampshire Ramblers have a good working relationship with Hampshire County Council on issues regarding Rights of Way (RoW). Our groups regularly survey all RoW in the county, reporting blocked paths, inadequate signing, broken stiles, bridges and more for remedial action.   

Most of our groups undertake vegetation clearance, repairing or replacing bridges, and replacing stiles with kissing gates. We monitor planning applications in the county and comment or object where the proposals impinge adversely on the footpath network or our enjoyment of the countryside.  We have also made a number of representations and contributions to the establishment of the English Coast Path in our Area.
