What we do

Campaigning

We’re supporting the Ramblers Cymru campaign to get fairer funding for footpaths.  We know how important it is to keep footpaths clear, signposted and accessible for walkers - and the Council’s work has been greatly reduced over the past few years.  In 2022 we contacted all the candidates for the County Council elections, giving them the facts and figures.  We ran a stand at our local agricultural show in the summer and promoted the cause in the local press.

Please sign the petition for fairer funding:

Walking with dogs

group of walkers with a cute dog

Some people like to walk with dogs ... and some don't!  Our walk leaders will check whether a route has stiles, farm livestock or other features that may be a problem.   They will decide whether to advertise a walk as "dog-friendly" and it's always important to contact them before bringing a dog on a walk.

Group holidays

In September 2022 we travelled to Betws-y-coed in North Wales for the beautiful Snowdonia mountains and coast.

In Spring 2022 our group organised a trip to Croatia with Ramblers Walking Holidays, walking on the island of Brac then sightseeing in Dubrovnik - wonderful views in the Spring sunshine.

Our photo gallery

We’ve put a selection of members’ photographs on our website, and some walk reports too.  They give a flavour of our beautiful countryside and the kind of walks we do.
