Please join us for the Creative Walks, which are running for a limited time only throughout March, and are led by experienced artist Simon Jardine. The Mortimer walk includes short stops to paint, draw or photograph areas of interest. Walks end with a creative class inspired by the walk, along with tea and coffee.
They are open to everyone - experience of photography, painting and drawing is not necessary. Free art equipment is provided. Walks are informal, relaxed and friendly. These walks are suitable for adults, but not families, or children.
Please note: time spent physically walking is approximately 30-45 minutes, however the session itself lasts from 10-1pm to allow time spent for creative activities along the route, and back at the library. You are welcome to leave early.
There are limited space on this walk and booking is required. Please email Gemma.Taylor@westberks.gov.uk to book a space.
The walks are designed to be inclusive for all and the terrain is flat with limited inclines. Footwear such as sturdy boots are recommended due to the rural location of the walk, and it is advised that you bring a waterproof jacket.

There is access from street level to the library, and level access throughout. Please let us know of any access requirements that you may have and we will do our best to support.
