A free local walk from the West Norwood Health & Leisure Centre.

Most walks visit West Norwood Cemetery, mostly on paths but some occasional rough ground, and include a brief talk about a grave or monument.

Breathe Easy - Rambling with Simon

Join us for a walk every Tuesday at 12:00. You will meet Simon at St James Park Station opposite the Petty France exit for 11:50 where you will explore the scenice St James Park. This walk is guaranteed to keep everyone entertained while moving your body. 

We ensure to meet the needs of every participant and can tailor the walk to the group. Rest Stops can be added to the route and avoiding mud and uneven ground is possible just speak to our walk leader prior to starting the walk!

Very gentle health walk

A health walk at a very easy, slow pace. Everyone is welcome to attend our weekly Tuesday walks.

They are primarily aimed at people who

- want to build up confidence walking again

- are living with a limiting long-term condition

- are recovering from surgery or a stroke 

We walk for 30-45 minutes and go for a hot drink at the end in a local cafe.

Battersea Park Walk

Safely crossing Albert Bridge, turning to walk along the river through the historic Battersea Park, past the Old English Garden and fountains, Bandstand, then passing around the Boating Lake to the café.

Either finish at the café, or walk back through the park towards Albert Bridge.

Winter Wellbeing Walk

A leisurely 45 minute walk around Regents Park.

We will have rest break half way through the walk and you will have the opportunity to go to a café at the end of the walk if you want to. The walk is led by Jen (Occupational Therapist) and Karen (Sports Coach) from Sport For Confidence. This walk is accessible for any individual who would like to spend time with others and enjoy the fresh air of Regents Park. We working with wheelchair users, those who are socially isolated, have learning or physical disabilities and mental health difficulties. Support workers are welcome.

Kensington Gardens Walk

Explore the setting for Kensington Palace, and the birthplace of Queen Victoria.

Starting at Kings Arms Gate, walk up to Round Pond along North Walk over The Long Water into Hyde Park round towards The Allotment. Crossing back over the Serpentine, past The Serpentine Gallery, and the towering Albert Memorial, commissioned by Queen Victoria to finish at Queen Gate Entrance.

This walk starts outside Bromley Central Library/Churchill Theatre - walk around the lovely Church House Gardens, Martins Hill, Queensmead Recreation Ground

Contains 2 or 3 Hills but there are alternative routes led to avoid the hills for those that would like, with rest stops too. This walk is very inclusive for all abilities.

Refreshments in a café in the town centre at the end of the walk for those that want to.

This beautiful Park lies in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea, with the walk taking you through the woodlands, Lord Holland’s Statue and Pond, through the peaceful and tranquil Kyoto Gardens. Throughout the seasons, notice the different flowers planted in the Dutch Gardens, finishing at the café.

Hampstead Heath Leisurely Walks

This walk is suitable for people living with health conditions or mobility issues. Mobility aids welcome. Suitable for slower walkers. There is a sister walk (Hampstead Heath challenging walk) that goes from Hampstead Heath overground station at the same time. We recommend new walkers try this leisurely walk first and if they find it too easy, they can then try out the hampstead heath challenging walk.

Booking no longer required. If you'd like to attend this walk please turn up to the meeting point listed above to meet the group. You will be asked to fill in a walker registration form on your first walk.

Start:

Hampstead Health Challenging Walk

This walk goes across the Heath following a different route each week, often diverging from the main paths, so be prepared for uneven ground and walking uphill. After about an hour, the group stops for refreshments at Kenwood or Parliament Hill Café, occasionally venturing further afield to Golders Hill Park. Participants can either make their own way home or join the walk leaders to return by a shorter route to the starting point opposite Hampstead Heath Overground station.

Please wear shoes comfortable for walking in and bear in mind that the Heath can be muddy. You don’t need anything special but avoid open-toed shoes and smooth soles.

Booking no longer required. If you'd like to attend this walk please turn up to the meeting point to meet the group. You will be asked to fill in a walker registration form on your first walk.

Redbridge Saturday Walk

The walk takes place every Saturday starting in Wanstead at 10.30am, meeting at Christ Church Green Park, next to the Church. This walk takes place in a mixture of both urban and green open space. Sometimes the walks will start from Wanstead to various destinations such as Woodford/Woodford.
