Ramblers Wellbeing Walks Masham Strollers

Join Ramblers Wellbeing Walks Masham Strollers for short, local and accessible walks to help you get more active. In addition to our Strollers Weekly Town Walk, we now have a monthly longer, brisker walk around the beautiful countryside of Masham.

Masham Strollers Weekly Walk

Join us for our weekly walk around Masham and you'll receive a warm, friendly welcome. Our circular walks will be approximately 30-40 minutes long over easy ground, although there may be some uneven surfaces or pavements, around the many streets, alleys and small green spaces in Masham. They are suitable for those that are new or returning to activity or if you like walking in the company of others at a pace that is suitable to everyone. As we walk round our walk leaders will point out places of interest such as our two famous breweries along with some local history. Join us in Masham Town Hall after the walk for a cup of tea/coffee and chat to your fellow walkers and volunteers. If this is your first walk with us please arrive for 10am. Free public toilets are available behind the Community Office where we start/finish our walk.

Masham Monthly Wellbeing Walk

Our weekly wellbeing walks have expanded and we now offer a longer and brisker walk on the first Tuesday of each month which is circular, leaving from Mashamshire Community Office and is over 60 minutes and up to 90 minutes long. The walks will follow public footpaths over farmland and around other areas of interest, where there will be some rough, uneven ground and some stiles should be expected. 

Please ensure you have suitable attire for the walk, i.e. waterproofs and suitable footwear and a rucksack with a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. Please also feel free to bring a flask and a snack for a short stop along the way. NB. The advertised duration of the walk does not include the rest break so please allow extra time.

If this is your first walk with us please arrive for 10am.

Free public toilets are available behind the Community Office where we start/finish our walk.

 Easy flat walk along disused railway to bridge over River Swale, then Love Lane track to Easby Abbey. Higher path along north bank of Swale with gentle slopes up and down before returning across Mercury Bridge to the pool.
