Wallasey Village Library Wellbeing Walk

We walk on Monday, Wednesday & Friday 11.00-12noon but not formally on Bank Holidays.
We meet outside the library, St Georges Road, Wallasey, CH45 3NE for a friendly walk at a varied pace to suit all the walkers. We go to the Breck, or Harrison Park and sometimes the beach, but on pavements rather than footpaths. We may go for a drink afterwards to please bring some money just in case.

Living With & Beyond Cancer Wellbeing Walk Wirral

This new walk is aimed at those people who are living with or beyond Cancer but is open to others too. The walk will be led by Georgina and Rhian from the Living With & Beyond Cancer team. The group will meet at Vale House Community House in Vale Park, New Brighton every Thursday at 12pm - 1.00pm. The walk will be approximately 30 minutes in length and will be mainly on the flat apart from a couple of inclines within the park.

Birkenhead Park Wellbeing Walk

Join us for a longer walk in both parks. The walks is led by trained friendly leaders and go to the café for an optional drink afterwards. All paths are wheelchair or rolator accessible but keep a look out for uneven paths. This is a beautiful park with a Grade 1 listed landscape and the views are splendid in all seasons. Please dress for the weather, with comfortable footwear and bring a drink. Currently the park is closed to vehicles. You are advised to park in Arthur Street for easy access to the visitor centre. This walk also occurs on Bank Holidays.

Join us for a choice of an easy, slow walk or a longer walk in both parks. Both walks are lead by trained friendly leaders from Brighter Birkenhead and go to the café for an optional drink afterwards. Sefton OPERA Wellbeing Walks

Join us for a short walk around Bootle and sometimes beyond.  The walks last between 30 - 90 minutes and visit parks and greenspaces with time at the end for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

The group meet at various locations each week to enjoy walks in different areas of Sefton.

Waterloo Wellbeing Walk

This walk sets a medium pace and enjoys different areas of Sefton, Liverpool and the Wirral.  We like to explore different locations that are on our doorstep.  We always meet South Road,  Waterloo every Tuesday morning from the Sefton Carers Centre and we set off from there on our 60 minute walk.  We use the train to get to our walk locations.

Arrowe Park Wellbeing Walk

Meet near the golf course outside the Red Rooms Café CH49 4LW. This is a fast walk 2.5-3 miles.
Stunning and spectacular vistas.
Join our leaders for this fast walk of 2.5 -3miles on rough paths with uneven ground, mud and slopes. Boots are definitely needed! This walk is not suitable for beginners or anyone with mobility issues. The park has stunning and spectacular vistas, and we use a variety of routes in and out of the park on local footpaths. We meet near the golf course outside the Red Rooms Café CH49 4LW. There are currently no parking charges. Many of us go for a drink afterwards so please bring some money, just in case.

Bootle Wellbeing Walk

The Bootle Wellbeing Walks explore different locations on our doorstep.  Our weekly walk has many walk leaders to support the group as we enjoy a 60 minute (approx.) walk at a scenic area close by.  We set a medium pace and cover between 2 - 4 miles each week.  We have a great variety routes to choose from so that our walkers can rack up the steps whilst enjoying the view.

Royden Wellbeing Walk

This is our most challenging walk over natural paths with uneven ground and there can be steep inclines. It's a beautiful park and well worth the effort. We recommend wearing walking boots in all weathers!

The group meeting in the car park and you will need to bring your bank card as the pay and display machine only takes card. This can take time so please arrive early.

The trained leaders use a variety of routes so the walk will follow different paths each week both in and around the park.

If travelling by bus then please note that it is a 20 minute walk from Frankby Cemetery.

Feet First Friday Wellbeing Walk

Various meeting points for this monthly walk.

This walking group is for people affected by cancer, their families and friends.  The walks will start in different locations each month.  The walks are between 1 - 4 miles long although there is always a shorter route option on the day to suit all abilities and preferences.  PLUS we always stop for a cuppa after our walks.

Port Sunlight River Park Wellbeing Walk

Join us for a friendly walk around this relatively new park with superb views over the River Mersey and also into North Wales. The paths may be muddy and uneven so be prepared with good footwear! The distance is 1.5-2.5 miles but with our trained leaders we can adjust the pace to suit you and also offer a shorter, flatter walk. There is a steady climb to the summit of the park for confident walkers. We may go for a drink afterwards so please bring some money, just in case. We meet in the car park. Parking is available on the road and the nearest busses stop at Shore Drive.

Port Sunlight Wellbeing Walk

Join us for a friendly walk around this ornate historic village with so many listed buildings. The footpaths in the village may be slippery and uneven so be prepared with good footwear! They are not suitable for wheelchairs or rolators. The distance is 1-2.5 miles and with our trained leaders we can adjust the pace to suit you. The route is generally flat but we do walk in The Dell where there are slight inclines. Sometimes we walk further to Port Sunlight River Park. We may go for a drink afterwards so please bring some money, just in case. Cars may be parked on the street a short walk from the start.

Netherton Feelgood Factory Wellbeing Walks

This walking group enjoys a variety of routes around the Netherton area.  We start at 10.00am every Monday morning and walk for 60 - 90 minutes.  We like walking along the Leeds and Liverpool canal towards Rimrose Valley where we enjoy the wide open space.  One of our favourite routes is walking across to Jubilee Woods near the historic village Sefton, you can see Sefton Church for most of the walk.  There is a footpath through the middle of Bootle Golf Course we use quite often to either get to Rimrose Valley or access the canal.  We set a medium pace and we take rest stops when needed, its a great way to start your week.  The routes are pram friendly.

West Kirby Wednesday Wellbeing Walk

Our walks meet inside West Kirby Concourse Leisure Centre in reception. You can't miss the us and everyone is very welcoming to any new walkers. We go off as three groups, one is a slower pace and another is a shorter walk, whilst the other group will walk further and for longer. We have a wide range of different walks - around the marine lake, up and down the prom, along the Wirral Way, around Ashton Park, along the beach, these are just some of our different and varied routes. All the groups then meet back at West Kirby Concourse where we go to the cafe for a coffee and there are toilets there too.

Join us for a friendly walk either to Eastham Country Park or Dibbinsdale. The paths may be muddy, slippery and uneven so be prepared with good footwear! The distance is 2-3 miles and with our trained leaders we can adjust the pace to suit you. We walk down to both locations so there’s a gentle slope up for the second half of the walk. We may go for a drink afterwards so please bring some money, just in case. We meet at St Barnabas Church car park CH62 7AB.

Eastham Group Practice/The Allport Surgery Walk

Why not come and join us for a low level Wellbeing Walk which will start at Eastham Group Practice - 47 Bridle Road, Bromborough, CH62 6EE.  Every Thursday at 11.30am with Jo and Mya, the distance will be up to 1.5 miles and will take around 30 minutes.  The walk will be on a mixture of pavements, tarmac, unpaved path & grass playing field.

Formby Wellbeing Walks

This is a 90 minute walk, taken at a quick pace and covering different areas of the Formby Coast.  On the last Thursday of each month the group meet at Freshfield Train Station.

Please wear footwear suitable for walking through dunes, along woodland paths and on uneven ground.

Neston Wellbeing Walk

Come and join us for an amble around picturesque Neston & Parkgate.  This circular walk starts & finishes at Neston Library, includes a section of the Wirral Way, takes in views over the River Dee, as well as using local footpaths.  The walk lasts around 45 minutes, is mainly on hard surface pathways with no major inclines with opportunity to take a break along Parkgate promenade.   Drinks are available after the walk at the Library.

This weekly walk enjoys routes through Formby Pinewoods and along the beautiful coastal footpaths.  We meet every Tuesday morning and set a medium pace.  There is always something different to see each week and you may discover paths you've never been on before.  You might even see a red squirrel.
