We are planning the first Woking Group holiday for many years, which will be to Wiltshire, where there is beautiful walking along the Kennet and Avon Canal and in the surrounding countryside. The dates are Friday 3 May – Monday 6 May 2024. We will do a 5 or 6 mile walk on Saturday and Sunday morning and there will be options for further walks in the afternoons. We will be staying at Littlecote House Hotel, near Hungerford (see link below). Breakfast and dinner is included in the price for the 3 night stay. The cost will be around £300 for a standard room with various upgrades available. This is based on a group price for 20 people minimum. Single rooms are available at a supplement, which will vary from £0 - £60 in price per night depending on how many people we have going. The deposit is £10 with the balance payable at the end of January. If you are interested in taking part, please email info@wokingramblers.org by 31 December 2023 with the Subject as “Group Holiday” and let us know your name(s) and whether you require a double, twin or single room. If you would be prepared to share with a fellow group member to avoid paying a single supplement, please let us know.
Littlecote House Hungerford Wiltshire RG17 0SU Directions by car From the M4 Exit the M4 at Junction 14, take the A338 to Hungerford. After approximately 3 miles turn right onto the A4 and at the next roundabout take the 1st exit Shortly afterwards turn right onto the B4192, sign posted Littlecote House Hotel. After approximately 1 mile, the road bends sharply to the right. Take the road straight ahead of you on this bend and the entrance to Littlecote House Hotel is approximately half a mile on the right hand side.
