Overview

We start the walk from Afon Biga at the western end of the Clywedog Reservoir. Firstly, going through some forestry to reach the old Roman road to Dylife, a historic and remote mining area. The Trail passes the site of a Roman Fortlet, onto high moorland and past mysterious Glaslyn (lake) now a Nature Reserve. We leave the trail to visit the Cadair Viewpoint and Wynford Vaughan Thomas Memorial considered one of the most spellbinding views in all Wales, taking in Cadair Idris and Snowdon.
