We make our way to The George at Backwell Farleigh on the X1 bus from Weston/Congresbury to Bristol. Starting from Backwell Farleigh we follow a path over Backwell Down and up to Backwell Hill. We then take paths and bridleways to Tap’s Combe. Crossing the A370, we continue past Brockley Court to Cleeve and take paths up to Kingswood and back to Congresbury for the return journey on the X1. There is almost no parking around The George.

The George, Backwell Farleigh. (At the time of compilation, the X1bus runs every 15 minutes and takes approximately 40 minutes from Weston super Mare sea-front to reach Backwell Farleigh.
