Overview

A short gently paced midweek walk up into and through the ancient Mortimer Forest which overlooks Ludlow.  We leave Ludlow over the medieval Ludford Bridge and climb up to Sunny Dingle via the original track of the Leominster Road and Starvecrow Cottage.  Our walk includes a number of forest tracks and paths with a return to Ludlow via a section of the Mortimer Trail and some of Whitcliffe Common to take in the fine views of the castle.
